What is "m-Tourism Day"?

The international event "m-Tourism Day" is a day of conferences and one-to-one meetings organized by the Telecom Valley m-Tourism Group on Tuesday November 22nd at SKEMA Business School (Sophia Antipolis. The event's theme is about "Sustainable tourism and ICT in euro-mediterranean area". 

m-Tourism Day's objectives are to sensitize tourism and ICT professionnals to all differents euro-mediterranean destinations, to promote sustainable development by using innovative technological solutions, and to develop the networking between all professionals of the tourism and ICT field.

PROGRAM

The event will be held in majority in French. Some international subjects will be held in English.

9:00-9:30 am : Welcome

 

9:30-12:00 am : Conferences

  • Shmile 2 - Remy Antoine CONTI, French Riviera Chamber of Commerce and Industry (France/Italy/Greece/Tunisia/Jordania/Egypt)
  • How ICT can help sustainable tourism : The Serbia case - Srdjan REDZEPAGIC, Institute of Economics Sciences (Serbia)
  • Adding value to the cultural and natural landscape : the case of the Gorafe dolmens - Jon ARAMBARRI, Virtualware (Spain/United Kingdom)
  • Tools for information and direct guidance on archeological sites for users where they are on-site - ARCSITE- Viorel GAFTEA, Edata SRL (Romania)

 

12:00-12:30 am : m-Tourism presentation of DGCIS

  • Jean-François CROLA, DGCIS representative, will make a presentation about "m-Tourism : perspectives and issues"

 

12:30 am-1:30 pm : Lunch

 

1:30-2:00 pm : "Service design and competitiveness and sustainability of European tourism" presentation.

  • Frédéric DIMANCHE, SKEMA Business School, will present "Service design and competitiveness and sustainability of European tourism". 

 

2:00-3:30 pm : Round-table conference "Collaborative projects in Tourism"

Round-table conference speakers : First of all, the Fondation Sophia Antipolis will present the ANR study “Futouraumed”.
