Please save the date to participate in the ETSI workshop “Making Smart Cities Sustainable”, from large scale pilots to real-life deployment”, taking place on 7-8 June 2017 in Bordeaux (FR).

The event, organized by ETSI in partnership with Bordeaux Metropole, eG4u and the Sharing Cities Project, is hosted by Bordeaux Metropole and the City of Bordeaux. The event is supported by EUROCITIES and the European Commission.

The workshop will provide an opportunity to hear from various city representatives who will share their views on how to move beyond trials and pilot project to wider implementations of standards based solutions. The agenda outline is currently available, the full programme will be online in the course of April.

Currently we are calling for demonstrations. Proposed demonstrations should relate to domains of Plastic optical fibre (POF), Glass optical fibre (GOF), Heating control command systems (SEMS) and show a Sustainable Smart City in action. Deadline to apply is 14 April 2017.

Participation to the event is free of charge and open to all upon mandatory registration. Please note that Bordeaux will be very busy at this time of the year, attendees are advised to book their hotels as soon as possible. Information is available on the site.
